Matilda

Matilda - Roald Dahl, Quentin Blake As usual, Dahl's wit and humour is utilised to perfection. It's been over ten years since I last read Matilda and I'd never realised before now how much of the book has stuck with me through my life, from understanding and using the word "phenomenon" at a young age to viewing margarine as a "poor" substitute for butter. Delightful, hilarious and inspiring.
